Game On: How to Create and Deliver Speaking Game Shows

In speeches and training session, customized GAME SHOWS are a powerful way to prepare learners for a topic you’re about to cover. That is . . . unless the games are complicated, hokey, no-fun, too easy, too long, or boring. (Yikes!) In this NSA-CT Learning Lab session, you’ll discover exactly how not to do that. Games can run from just 60-seconds to 12 minutes. They are a proven format for achieving audience interaction and boosting your speaking experience.

Applications:
    • Use a variety of concepts and rules to make games that are instantly playable.
    • Discover the right length for games in speeches and short training presentations
    • Leverage bold graphics and embedded audio to create a game show look and feel.
    • Incorporate fast pacing and purposely quirky question and answer copy to deliver a truly fun game experience.

Our guest speaker is Brian Walter, CSP, CPAE. Brian is a past national President of NSA. He is a unique blend of external and internal communications expertise…in multiple mediums.  Over a 30+ year career, he’s been an advertising director, marketing & sales director, radio & TV commercial producer, copywriter, communications manager, presentation coach, video producer, adjunct college professor, management trainer, consultant and…of course… professional speaker. He’s even a past Guinness Book of World Records holder for producing the world’s shortest TV commercial.

Brian’s business is Extreme Meetings. He provides customized infotainment and multi-media productions to make corporate meetings memorable. Or…to at LEAST be less boring. Brian has presented to audiences ranging from 7 to 7,000.  His clients have included corporate giants like Starbucks, Costco and Microsoft…several banks that apparently weren’t too big to fail…and a dairy company best known for awesome chocolate milk.

Brian has presented to many NSA chapters and this will mark his third time with NSA-CT. Brian is a humorist. So, be prepared. You will value the information and insights as you also laugh. A lot.
