Local Legends Interview Series
NSA-NT brings a new program series, called the Local Legends- In this spotlight series, our own Niki McCuistion, CSP will be interviewing Chapter (and past Chapter) members who have been instrumental in developing our chapter. You'll learn more about the history of the chapter and about the heart and soul of our servant leaders and their businesses.
With many live (virtually streamed through ZOOM) interviews to watch and participate in, and a few pre-recorded interviews releases mixed in, be inspired in this NEW INTERVIEW SERIES.
About Stu Schlackman, CSP
Stu Schlackman, CSP started his speaking business in 2004 after 28 years in Corporate America. Even though he started out as a Mechanical Engineer in NYC, he moved into sales in 1983 and moved to Dallas in 1987 to be the sales trainer for Digital Equipment Corporation.
Passion for training is what got Stu to go out on his own. He heard about the National Speakers Association and joined in 2008. Since then Stu has served in several capacities for our chapter including president, director of Marketing, Treasurer and Academy CO-Dean for three years.
Stu earned his CSP in 2015 and also is a recipient of North Texas’s Charbonneau Award. Stu has also served NSA National on the Chapter Leadership Committee for two years as well as the CSP committee for three years. He headed up the sales PEG for two years and will serve wherever the chapter needs support.
Stu is also an adjunct professor at UTD for Sales and is the author of 7 books with one more almost ready to hit the market.

Niki produces the award winning McCuistion Program, now in its 29th year on KERA PBS TV, often working in challenging situations and crisis zones. Her responsibility includes the bottom line- raising the funds to produce the program and working with board members to achieve the mission.
From a business background that includes hands on service, sales, and management experience; and specialized education, including a B.S. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, an M.L.A. in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary’s University, an MBA in Leadership and Governance from the University of Dallas, and advanced course work and certifications in coaching, governance and strategy, Niki understands the unique issues facing nonprofits, businesses, and speakers today.
