How I Booked My First 100 Speeches - Timeless Strategies You Can Use Now!

There’s no one “right” way to build and maintain a speaking business, but there’s one thing we can all agree on. A successful speaking business needs… business!
Where do speaking engagements come from? Courtney Clark, CSP, will share her strategy for going from, “Who do I even call and what do I say?” to a fully- booked calendar.
Whether you're just starting out or you’ve been at this a while, Courtney is sure to share a tip you can use as soon as you get back to the office.
At the end of this session, participants will leave with:
  • Courtney’s step-by-step sales plan, detailing what types of outreach to send and when.
  • Script suggestions for calls and emails, including the best single word to start your voicemails
  • A strategy for turning your bookings into spinoff business

 About Courtney Clark CSP

Courtney believes we’re getting resilience wrong.

When she was diagnosed with cancer for the first time at age 26, people told her, “Courtney, you’re so strong!” But she didn’t feel strong—she felt scared, mad, confused, and isolated, because it seemed like no one truly understood. People weren’t bothering to ask how she really felt before they tried to make her feel better. She heard a lot of platitudes meant to be uplifting, but they only left her feeling more frustrated.

Going through that experience taught her that when we jump straight to positivity, we miss the opportunity to tackle our problems head-on. While a positive attitude is important, growth and innovation are usually borne out of struggle.

She’s on a mission to correct what she believes is a fundamental misunderstanding of resilience. Instead of thinking of resilience as unrelenting optimism, her research shows that true resilience comes from adapting to change and challenge.

Today, Courtney works with organizations and individuals to develop greater adaptability, which provides a more realistic, longer-lasting form of resilience. Her approach is evidence-based and immediately applicable—not rooted in clichés or toxic positivity.
